Achthoven is een buurtschap in de gemeente Montfoort in de provincie Utrecht en ligt aan de noordelijke dijk van de Hollandse IJssel in het dunbevolkte poldergebied tussen IJsselstein, De Meern en Montfoort. Deze buurtschap is onderverdeeld in Achthoven-West en Achthoven-Oost. Achthoven-West ligt aan de weg met de naam Achthoven-West, die in het verlengde ligt van de Mastwijkerdijk, en aan de Slotlaan. Achthoven-Oost ligt aan de provinciale weg 228.
