Vanaf het Plein wandelen we naar het vroegere mijnterrein en later Wison Split terrein. Deze firma heeft hier de steenberg die van binnen uit brande ontgonnen door het rode splitgravel te exploiteren. Op dit moment zijn ze dit terrein aan het herinrichten in een groen gebied. Vervolgens over het Parkstad Fiets-wandelpad naar het vroegere Miljoenenlijntje waar nu nog de stoomtrein rijd. In het aangrenzende bomenbos is een mooi uitzichtspunt om naar Duitsland te kijken over het Paardenlandschap.
