Het Storting is het parlement van Noorwegen. Het komt samen in het Stortinggebouw in Oslo. Dit gebouw stamt uit 1866 en is ontworpen door Emil Victor Langlet.
Het Storting werd in zijn huidige vorm in 1814 in de Grondwet van Noorwegen vastgelegd, maar de basis van het parlement werd al in de 9e eeuw gelegd door de alltings . Deze alltings vonden op lokaal niveau plaats en bespraken politieke en juridische zaken. In de loop der tijd groeiden de vergaderingen tot officiële organen uit, die erkend werden door de kroon en die de monarchie zelf ook konden aanpassen.
