Lo Storting è il Parlamento norvegese ed è situato nella capitale, Oslo. La sede storica venne completata nel 1866 disegnata dall'architetto Emil Victor Langlet.
Il parlamento norvegese, unicamerale, ha 169 membri e viene eletto ogni quattro anni sulla base di un sistema proporzionale a partiti. L'assemblea è guidata da un presidente e da cinque vicepresidenti; dal 2013 Olemic Thommessen ne è presidente. I membri del parlamento sono suddivisi in dodici commissioni ed in quattro commissioni. Gran parte delle agenzie pubbliche della Norvegia sono subordinate al governo, ma solo due di esse sono direttamente subordinati al parlamento.
