Het Environmental Protection Agency is het onafhankelijke federale agentschap van de Verenigde Staten dat belast is met de bescherming van de volksgezondheid en de bescherming van het milieu.
Het agentschap werd op 2 december 1970 ingesteld. EPA is geen dienst die onder het kabinet valt, maar de voorzitter heeft wel de positie van kabinetslid. De huidige voorzitter is Andrew R. Wheeler.
