Pejë is een gemeente en is met 170.000 inwoners de derde stad van Kosovo. De stad is de hoofdplaats van het gelijknamige district.
Ongeveer 50% van de inwoners is geregistreerd werkloos, maar naar schatting bedraagt dit aantal in werkelijkheid 80%. UNMIK en de Italiaanse tak van de KFOR hebben een basis gevestigd in deze stad. Pejë had tot januari 2011 een stedenband met Mol. In Pejë is het patriarchaatsklooster van de Servisch-Orthodoxe Kerk gevestigd.
