De Santa Margarida Vulkaan heeft een omtrek van 2 km en een hoogte van 682m en is één van de belangrijkste vulakenen van het Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. Het shuiloord van de heilige Margarida ligt in de vulkaan. Vandaar de naam. Het schuiloord werd echter vernield in 1428 in de grote aardbeving, gekend als de Catalonische aardbeving van 1428. Het werd hersteld in 1865.
