At the end of the seventies, the successful televisiserie Diary of a Sheepdog caused quite a stir in and around the south Limburg village of Eijsden. The filming took place here and it seemed as if all the inhabitants participated.

In the narrow, lovely streets of the village, space was made for the director with his varied demands. Extras were summoned, local music was played and even rain was conjured from the sky.

During this walking route, the television series comes to life along the shooting locations in and around Eijsden. This works even better if you order, pick up or download the route booklet 'Through the décor of Diary of a Sheepdog'. In addition to the route description, it also describes scenes and anecdotes that bring the time of the past to life.
