From 3 December 2023 to 6 January 2024, a beautiful 'crib walk' has been set out in Wahlwiller and Mechelen. This walk of about 11 kilometers leads past a dozen cribs (nativity scenes) and is the ideal opportunity to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in peace. Don't forget to enjoy a tasty snack and (hot) drink at one of the catering establishments along the route.

Some points to consider:
-This route is not signposted, but the route description can be downloaded.
-The routes are carefully mapped out so you can start at any point and there is plenty of parking at the participating businesses and designated parking spaces nearby.
-If you leave in the late afternoon, it is advisable to bring lights for good visibility in traffic.
-Please note that not all hiking trails are suitable for strollers as some paths lead through meadows with turnstiles.
