AzureHanseatic tour Hattem-Elburg-Hattem. The old town of Elburg is all history. The historic city center in which you feel, taste and smell the Hanseatic League is built like a square, so you can't really get lost there. There is also a city wall around it that you can walk over. You will encounter the same old atmosphere in the city center of Hattem. The city did not receive city rights until 1299, which allowed it to join the Hanseatic League in the same year. Thanks to the many historic buildings and the Dijkpoort from the 14th century, you can also imagine yourself here in the Hanseatic era. Also walk along Knorrenburgerstraat 2 at the foot of the Dijkpoort: this warehouse is one of the best preserved buildings from the Hanseatic era.
