A 35 km long bike ride through the delightful Westhoek starting at the Market Square of Nieuwpoort. The ride takes you, among other places, to Veurne through the area that was flooded for strategic reasons during World War I. You will cycle past the IJzer, the Hemmeleed, the Proostdijkvaart, and the Langgeleed – commonly referred to as Lange Lis. Part of the route also runs along the old Nieuwpoort-Diksmuide railway line. And you will also bike through some lovely polder villages.
