On well-developed and excellently signposted cycle paths through moors, forests, and meadows around Große Aue and the Weser River, you can "experience" pure relaxation. The extensive gastronomic offer provides refreshment and sustenance at every stage.

The starting and ending point is the marketplace in Steyerberg. Right from the beginning, you pass through the historic core of Steyerberg with Jacobi Island, Aue Bridge, Amtshof, and Meyersiek's Mill. Passing through the ecological model settlement "Lebensgarten," you reach an extensive forest area, the Januarsberg. The viewpoint there is worth a short detour.

The tour continues from Januarsberg to Hesterberg, a turn in the forest leads to the War Graves Memorial. Beyond Hesterberg, the "Fichtendamm" provides information on peat extraction and renaturation through the "Große Borsteler Moor." Numerous oil pumps line the route because oil has been extracted and processed in the Voigtei district since 1953. The tour leads back to Steyerberg via Eckershausen and Sarninghausen.
