The approximately 2.6 km long Weser-Bastau-Weg begins at the Minden Weser promenade at the level of the Minden passenger ship pier. You walk along the Weser bank and enjoy the view of the water. On the opposite side of the Weser, you can see Minden's festival ground Kanzlers Weide, which can also be used by campers all year round. Then you pass by the originally reconstructed ship mill Minden. Behind the Weser Stadium, you then enter the so-called Glacis, Minden's green lung. You walk along the Bastau to the Weser pedestrian bridge. Then you walk again along the Weser to the historic Minden fishing town.
The walk ends at the "Saturn" of the planet path.
