Battersea is one of the many villages that together form the London metropolis. It is located on the Thames, on the edge of the city centre, and yet is little known. At the most you have already heard of the Battersea Power Station, the monumental power station that acquired legend status when Pink Floyd put it on the cover of one of their records. But Battersea is also a grand park, 19th century 'mansion blocks', an intimate High Street, the cozy Battersea Square with its terraces and a litlle church is situated charmingly on the Thames bank.
