In Rust, een Duits plekje tussen Straatsburg en Basel, ligt Europa-Park, meermaals uitgeroepen tot beste pretpark ter wereld.
Het park is ingedeeld in thema’s geënt op Europese landen, met gebouwen, straatjes, decoratie en attracties in de bijbehorende stijl. Het is ook groot: in één dag heb je niet alles gezien en gedaan. Daarom heeft het ook zes hotels.
Het park biedt voor elk wat wils. Er zijn veertien achtbanen, zoals de Voltron, die je verticaal in een looping lanceert. Maar ook rustige attracties voor het gezin, boottochtjes, of waterattracties. Een alternatief voor dat alles is Rulantica, een waterpark dat de Macks recent naast Europa-Park openden. Met vijftig glijbanen kun je ook daar gerust een hele dag doorbrengen.
