Those who walk the circular trail "Mutspuren" on the Galzig above St. Anton are following in the footsteps of the pioneers at Arlberg. The almost five-kilometer-long and easily walkable path is particularly suitable for families with children. Interactive stations, a playground, and Morse stations await discovery. And if someone needs a few quiet minutes for themselves, there are plenty of power spots with stunning views of the mountains. The starting point of the circular hiking trail at the mountain station is best reached by cable car.
The circular hike "Mutspuren" begins at the mountain station of the Galzigbahn and follows hiking path No. 23 upwards towards Ulmer Hütte. On the narrow path, some sure-footedness is required. It passes just below the Galzig peak (2,179 meters) and then descends to Arlensattel (2,057 meters). There, the route follows a wide farm road to a nearby reservoir. After circling it, return the same way and turn left at Arlensattel towards the valley station. At the Tanzbödenbahn, turn off. The path leads back to the Galzigbahn in a large arc – first downhill and then back uphill.
