Wolvenberg and Brilschanspark are almost the only places in the landscape of the Groene Bedding where the historical structure of the rampart is still recognizable. In Brilschanspark, an authentic part of the fortification moat is still present in the form of a hook-shaped pond, which was once the moat of a ravelin. The Brilschans itself was already demolished in the early 20th century. It wasn't until 1963 that it was decided to transform the area into a public park.
