Mechelse Poort - Dendermonde

One of the two remaining gates of the Wellington barrier in Dendermonde, near the intersection with the Noordlaan and the Mechelsesteenweg. The former inner gate, the bridge pillars between inner and outer forts, the remains of the outer gate, the retaining walls at the level of the ramparts for the first railway line, the remains of the bridge pillars along the outer walls and the former casemate, are protected as a monument by MB of 07.12.1983.
