Scy Castle

Built into a magnificent wooded park, the Château de Scy replaces the former castle of the Counts
d'Espiennes destroyed in 1963. This remarkable contemporary building is the work of the architect
Emmanuel de Callatay. In the park, you will discover a pyramid that is none other than the crypt
of the d'Espiennes family. About fifteen members of this family, as well as the last earls, are buried
in this burial. There is also the so-called Iron Man spring in the park.
as well as a limestone post dedicated to Saint Hubert dated 1776 and the Notre-Dame chapel, built
in the second half of the nineteenth century in limestone rubble. Inside, on a sandstone altar,
there is a painted wooden statue of the Virgin carrying the Child Jesus. On either side of it,

In the park of the castle there is also a chapel built during the 1940-45 war by the monks of Clervaux (G.D. de Luxembourg) whose monastery had been seized by the Germans and who had taken refuge in the castle of Scy.
