The extensive English landscape park around the castle of Loppem is perfect for a walk. The showpiece is of course the Castle of Loppem, a beautiful gem of neo-Gothic total art from the 19th century. The only Belgian castle by the way, of which both the outside and the inside are still in their original state! Next to the castle is an ancient maze. An intricate labyrinth of red and green hornbeams in which young and old, large and small lose the North for hours. Or how children's fun from 1873 can still charm...
