Odiel Defraeye was the first Belgian to succeed in winning the Tour de France in 1912. In addition, he triumphed in the Belgian Championship (1911) and Milan-San Remo (1913). Lucien Victor won the national team classification with the Belgian team at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, earning a gold medal.
