Veranneman Foundation, center for visual arts

Stichting Veranneman, center for visual arts, built in 1972-74 by E. Veranneman and his wife according to the design of architect Ch. Van der Plaetse. Ensemble consisting of five hexagonal cells made of brick under slanted slate roofs or flat roofs with skylights, set in the rolling landscape. Different cells with specific purposes and on the ground floor a hall for the permanent art collection and various rooms. The garden, designed by C. Vermander, was conceived as an open-air museum.
