It seems as if you have taken the exit to the 19th century through the tunnel under the N60, the four-lane road that connects Ghent with the Flemish Ardennes. Or as the residents of Mullem themselves claim: "to the end of the world." Mullem is a protected village that is among the most beautiful in Flanders. It perfectly depicts what a village looked like in past centuries. Since 1977, Mullem has been part of Oudenaarde. The ochre yellow houses – the color of the local nobility – have served more than once as a film set.
