The Castle of Moregem is a castle in the town of Moregem, belonging to the East Flemish municipality of Wortegem-Petegem, located at Heerbaan 5-6 and 6A, and Koestraat 3.In 1588, a moated castle was built on this site in Renaissance style, which was known as Praetorium De Mooreghem, by order of K. van Spiere. By order of the Van Hoobrouck family, this dilapidated castle was demolished and replaced in 1792-1798 by a playhouse in Louis XVI and directoire style. The architect may have been J. Pisson.
