Evident Cycling Team (formerly Van Hee & Partners Cycling Team)

Looking for a fun yet challenging cycling club? Then Evident Cycling Team is the perfect club for you!

From early March to late September, we leave every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM for a sporty bike ride from our club house, the Sint-Annakring at Roklijf 4 in Aalst. Sportiveness, fun, and togetherness are central to us! After the ride, we enjoy a drink together in our club house or on the terrace.

We start in 2 groups. The A-team rides at a slightly sportier pace of 28 to 30 km/h over a distance of approximately 85 km. The B-team maintains a pace of 26 to 28 km/h with rides that are always 10 to 15 km shorter than those of the A-team. For both teams, the motto is always "Together out, together home!" And each team is always led by a number of experienced road captains.

The rides are grouped into 4 blocks: In the first month, we ride flatter routes while gradually increasing the level of difficulty so that everyone can build up their level gently after winter. In the second and third months, we focus on rides that include more elevation and offer some landscape variation; we try to avoid departing in the same direction for two weeks in a row as much as possible. During the holiday months of July and August, we offer varied rides with a manageable B-ride and a slightly more challenging A-ride each time. In September, the A-rides are once again challenging, and the B-rides are achievable for those who have cycled less over the summer. From October to February, we do not organize rides, but we do offer an optional fixed winter ride every Sunday morning, departing at 9 AM from the Sint-Annakring.

Thanks to our loyal and exclusive sponsor Evident Verzekeringen, our members receive a simple yet very nice outfit for both summer and winter. Anyone who joins our cycling club is also immediately affiliated and insured with Cycling Vlaanderen.
