Humulus Lupulus is the Latin name for hops
Hop fields are an eye-catcher in the landscape.
Their slender poles and tightly stretched cables are a work of art in themselves.
This inspired me in designing and shaping the work "Humulus Lupulus". I took many photos and selected a number to later process into a graphically interesting image. The variation in direction, thickness, and rhythm of this linear structure I have, in a sense, preserved in its flat, two-dimensional form. It is through folding and stacking of the compositions that they obtain a three-dimensional execution.
