This private complex of beautiful 18th and 19th century buildings in limestone rubble grouped around a rectangular space is perfectly integrated into a hilly terrain.
Baselle was already mentioned in 875 (Villa Bacilla). The name could come from Basilica ( non-parish oratory (prayer) ). In the thirteenth century it was a guest house dependent on the great hospital of Namur and in the following centuries it was a tenant farm and in 1763 a lordship acquired by Michel Raymond, master smelter and coppersmith.
Behind the farm is a large burial mound.
Near the Baseilles farm is a beautiful pond with a variety of aquatic animals, including the great crested newt.
