Train walker Comblain-La-Tour - Aywaille 24.5 km

Leaving from the Comblain-La-Tour Station in the Ourthe Valley, you walk gently and occasionally a bit steeper towards Aywaille on the Amblève. The distance is 24.5 km. There is also a station there, but on a different line.
The route combines 4 different GR paths. At the start, we first follow the GR 57 (sentier de l'Outhe) downstream for a few hundred meters. Past a beautiful rock massif, we turn left under the train tracks into the forest for a long but gentle climb in the woods. (not a GR) Just before leaving the forest, turn left for the steepest climb of the day, rewarded with a nice panorama. Here we connect to the GRP 571 (vallées des légendes) towards the village of Xhoris. You can follow these red-yellow markings for a long time. The route is technically easy. At the chapel of the hamlet Rouge Minière, we now follow the GR 576 (a travers le Condroz). Once we leave the forest, we get beautiful views and an idyllic descent to the castle of Harzé. In the village, the GR 15 (Ardennes - Eiffel) accompanying us towards the east is the route we will follow until the finish in Aywaille. The last 3 kilometers are completely downhill. In Aywaille, you will find shops and restaurants to your liking.
