With this route, I would like to take you in a northeastern direction, starting from Roeselare to Vossenhol (a district of Maldegem) in East Flanders; of course, you can join wherever you like.

You start the road cycling route at Verbrandhofstraat in Roeselare, a city in West Flanders known for its cycling tradition. Your bike is ready, tire pressure checked, and you have enough energy to begin this challenging tour. Soon, you leave the urban surroundings behind and head towards your first destination.

You leave Roeselare towards the Sterrebos, a small but charming forest that is ideal for a quiet start. The Sterrebos offers some nice tree-lined paths and a pleasant shaded environment. After that, you pass through the village of Kazand, where you ride along rural roads and the Flemish countryside begins to unfold. This part of the route is perfect for getting into the rhythm and warming up your muscles.

From Kazand, you continue to the Ardooie Veld, a wide area with open fields and meadows. The roads here are flat and straight, allowing you to pick up speed. After the Ardooie Veld, you head towards Kromte, a district of Pittem. This is a beautiful transition into the hilly part of the route, with some gentle climbs that will challenge your muscles.

You continue your way to Schuiferskapelle, a small village with typical Flemish charm. Here, the streets are narrow and quiet, ideal for cyclists who love country life. Afterwards, you ride through Gulke Putten, an area known for its gentle hills and picturesque landscapes. This part of the route is more challenging, with some steep climbs that will increase your heart rate.

After the hills of Gulke Putten, you head towards Maria Aalter, a picturesque village with a lovely church and quiet streets. Here, you can catch your breath and enjoy the view before continuing to De Vaanders, a nature reserve with forests and open fields. This is a good place to take a break and enjoy nature.

The next stage takes you through the Maldegemveld, a large nature reserve with forests and heathlands. The terrain here is slightly hilly, and the roads are well-maintained, perfect for a relaxed bike ride. You continue through Kleit, a district of Maldegem, and then arrive in Vossenhol, another district close to Maldegem. This section of the route is quite flat, allowing you to easily maintain a good pace.

Your route now takes you past Kasteel Ten Torre, a beautiful historic building hidden in a wooded area. Here, you can stop briefly to admire the castle before heading to Oedelemberg, a small hill that offers a short but challenging climb. At the top of the hill, you will be rewarded with a splendid view of the surroundings.

After Oedelemberg, the route continues to Beernem, a village known for its beautiful environment and well-maintained roads. You proceed to Hertsberge, a small village with rural charm and quiet streets. Then you pass Hille, a quiet hamlet where you can enjoy the Flemish countryside.

Now you approach Zwevezele, a village near Wingene known for its beautiful churches and friendly residents. After that, you arrive at Kapelhoek, a small place you reach via quiet rural roads. This part of the route is again somewhat flatter, allowing you to easily maintain a high speed.

The last part of the route brings you back to the hamlet of Spanje, which you visited earlier in the day. You now know that you are not far from home. From Spanje, you head towards Verbrandhofstraat in Roeselare, where you conclude your tour after a challenging and varied bike ride of about 124 kilometers.
