ZZW I R - Wambrechies (FR) - R

With this route, I would like to take you along in a south-southwest direction starting from Roeselare to Wambrechies located in France, of course, you can join in wherever you wish.

We depart from Roeselare via the Stro Route and rural roads towards Passendale. We cycle along the Vergifhoek to the Reutel and descend towards Polygoon Wood. From there we continue through the Gasthuis forests towards Hollebeke and Mesen. We head towards Warneton and cross the La Lys river and the national border again via the bridge in Frelinghien. Then we ride through La Houlette and Verlinghem back to Roeselare. The route takes us further to Wambrechies, where we cycle past numerous establishments. We continue along Domaine Dalle-Dumont and through Wervicq-Sud, and thus return to Belgium by crossing the Leie and the border via the bridge in Wervik. There we admire the impressive cathedral before we continue cycling towards Geluwe, which we leave on our right side, and Kruiseke, which we pass on our left. We cross the A19 and cycle past café Coureur du Monde, which is on the right just past the cobblestones in Beselare. From there, it goes via hilly roads to the Waterdam, then to Moorslede, and finally to the Koekuit Castle. We return via the Zilverberg to the Stro Route, where the ride ends.
