We took this beautiful nature walk on February 2, 2025
Parking can be done at various locations. We left our car in the large parking lot on Kabouterstraat at Kabouterberg.
Kasterlee and its Kabouterberg are well-known in the Kempen. The Kabouterberg is a recreational area in Kasterlee, province of Antwerp, designed specifically for children. The area is located along Geelsebaan, across from the windmill Keeses Molen, and extends from the foot of the Kempen ridge to the summit. The sandy areas, dune ridges, and elevation changes are used for hiking trails, obstacles, and playgrounds. The Kabouterberg also served as a filming location for "Het Huis Anubis and the Five of the Magical Sword."
For the hike, we initially chose the junction point system, which we soon deviated from. It has thus become a semi-developed route. Nevertheless, all paths are accessible.
