There is no doubt: Poperinge is one of the coziest little towns in West Flanders.
This coziness extends into the surrounding countryside: quiet, narrow paths, gentle slopes, pleasant cafés with all sorts of delicacies, quiet villages and hamlets, as well as breweries where excellent beers are brewed. Here and there, one is confronted again with the harsh earthly reality; for example, thanks to the various war memorials. In the dreamy Watou, it is once again poetry that arises. That there are numerous cozy cafés along the way is of course pure coincidence. Or is it?

In a classic atmosphere, a wide and diverse range of delicacies is served: regional beer, ice cream, pancakes, and various snacks.
The most striking dish on the menu is Poperingse Hennepot, a dish mainly made from chicken, rabbit, and veal in a gelatin sauce.
