In the land of orchards, the Tour of Apple Trees

The rural roads of this road cross the Pays de Herve, which is exceptionally beautiful in spring, when the orchards are adorned with flowers.

From RAVeL L38, the route begins towards the beautiful meanders formed by the hills and small valleys of the region. We discover hamlets crossed by charming streams.

Shortly after La Fosselette, during the descent, we see the bell tower of the abbey of Val-Dieu, founded in 1216 by the Cistercians. An interesting stop and we like to eat a piece in a 'Bistrot de Terroir': 'Au Casse-Croûte de Val-Dieu'.

From the abbey, the route, partly equipped with a cycle path, leads to Aubel, cradle of the famous syrups and fruit juices. On the RAVeL L38 the road is easier and leads to Clermont-sur-Berwinne, a village with a rich architectural heritage and member of the association "Most beautiful villages of Wallonia".

The Route Verte now runs along a line of ridges. Finally, the route leads to the Tourist Office, where you can taste local products in the "Test Room".
