#171106 - Gistoux, Bloquia, Ocquière and the 7 sources****

Easy and varied walk in the beautiful landscapes between Gistoux and Corroy. To be done in both directions, the perspectives are completely different! From the heights of the water tower district, descent to the cemetery of Gistoux to join the steep alley of the hamlet of "Babaures". Go up to the district and the wood of Papeteries to reach the mill of Bloquia, former paper mill having successively housed two restaurants, the last having closed in 2015. Then, crossing the rue du Manypré, passing near one of the locations of the old cressonnières and descent into the "Vallon d'Ocquière" which runs along the stream "Le Train" to the old vicinal station which once connected Courcelles (Charleroi) to Jodoigne. Go up on the heights of Corroy by the beautiful "Sentier du Facteur " and "Sentier du Piron" to reach the plateau and the fields (beautiful view) and descend into a wooded hollow, the place called "Les 7 sources". These sources form the "Ry des Papeteries" which flows into (and not under..) the Train at the level of the mill of Bloquia.
