The route begins at the parking lot at the entrance to Leenderbos on the Leende - Valkenswaard through road. You ride towards Valkenswaard on narrow paved bike paths through forests to avoid the main road as much as possible. After that, you cross the industrial area to the Venbergse watermill and then take the paved bike path through De Malpie to Borkel and Schaft. Between Borkel and Schaft, you take a path that eventually leads you over a paved bike path along a sandy road to the border with Belgium. You cycle along very quiet roads in the hinterland of Achel to the Bocholt - Herentals canal, and over the railway bridge, you reach the other side of this canal.
Through the western outskirts of Neerpelt/Overpelt, you arrive in the very expansive forest area of the province of Limburg. You cross the forest area over good wide paved or concrete bike paths. You pass by the test track of Ford and finally arrive at the bike path "Tussen de Bomen": here you ride up to the treetops and back down again. After that, you go over the tram line that has been transformed into a bike lane and along rural, quiet roads towards Achel. You reach the starting point again through the vast Beverbeekse forests and (now back in the Netherlands) the wide bike path through Leenderbos (where you must maneuver around some barriers).
