For several years now, a marked cycling route of 45 km has been running along the Pajots Bruegel locations, which still look as they did back then with some exaggeration. A beautiful example is the church of Saint Anna Pede, which Bruegel immortalized in his work 'The Parable of the Blind'. The watermill of Saint Gertrude Pede can also be recognized in the painting 'The Magpie on the Gallows'.

What makes the cycling route particularly interesting is that there are more than twenty reproductions of Breugel's oeuvre set up near the route. Outside the walls of a museum, these paintings take on a whole different dimension. Even those who are not familiar with Bruegel gain insight into his way of working and thinking. Do keep in mind that the slopes of Pajottenland make for quite a challenging ride.
