Meerdaalwoud BRONZE

Once you have experienced the beauty of the Meerdaalwoud on a gravel bike or mountain bike, you become addicted. We explored it in all directions and ultimately came up with 3 routes. Depending on your mood, you can choose bronze, silver, or gold. If you ride all 3, you will have completed the Meerdaalwoud challenge.

MEERDAALWOUD BRONZE
‘Easy’ route of 65km
We had long planned to create an easy ‘recovery route’ in the forest. With as many long, straight sections and avenues of tree cathedrals as possible.

Verdict: not a very difficult ride; kilometers long straight from north to south, south to north, east to west, west to east. But it's not a flat recovery ride. The Meerdaalwoud constantly goes up and down.

In the Bronze route, before the Ormendaalpad and the Doode Bemde, there is Langestaart, a beautiful gravel path from the Castle of Arenberg. This gives you 10 km along the Dijle from Heverlee to Sint-Joris-Weert. 5 km blazing over perfect gravel, 5 km bouncing over a narrow path next to the river.
