Pöhl is a municipality in the Vogtlandkreis in western Saxony. A large part of the Pöhl dam is located within the municipality.
Adjacent municipalities include the large district town of Plauen, the towns of Treuen and Elsterberg, and the municipalities of Neuensalz and Limbach in the Saxon Vogtlandkreis, as well as the district town of Greiz in Thuringia. Pöhl is part of the natural region of Vogtländische Schweiz.
