Trossin is a municipality in the northern part of the Nordsachsen district in the Free State of Saxony. It belongs to the administrative community of Dommitzsch. Trossin is the Saxon municipality with the lowest population density.
The municipality is located in the eastern part of the Dübener Heide on the border with Saxony-Anhalt. The neighboring towns are Dommitzsch, Torgau, and Bad Düben. The B 182 runs east and the B 183 south of the municipality.
