Siegelsbach

Siegelsbach is a municipality in the district of Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg. It belongs to the Heilbronn-Franken region and to the fringe area of the European metropolitan region of Stuttgart. Siegelsbach is one of the smallest municipalities in the district.

Siegelsbach is located at the northern border of the Heilbronn district, a few kilometers west of the Neckar. The town lies in the transition area between Kraichgau and Neckarbergland on a gently rising plateau of Muschelkalk, which is covered in the east by Keuper sandstone. The majority of the district drains to the east via Tiefenbach, Siegelsbach, and Mühlebachgraben into the lower Mühlbach in the Fünfmühlental flowing into the Neckar, a small northwestern area drains via the Wollenbach into the Schwarzbach, and a tiny southwestern area drains via the Krebsbach into the Schwarzbach; this then reaches the Neckar after a much longer river stretch via the Elsenz further downstream.
