Bad Wimpfen ) is a historic spa town in the district of Heilbronn in the Baden-Württemberg region of southern Germany. It lies north of the city of Heilbronn, on the river Neckar.
Bad Wimpfen is located on the west bank of the River Neckar, around 15 kilometres north of Heilbronn. The town is divided into two parts: the older Wimpfen im Tal situated on the Neckar, and Wimpfen am Berg containing the town centre. Besides the town itself, the village Hohenstadt also belongs to Bad Wimpfen.
