The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Laurentius in Windeck-Dattenfeld was built between 1879 and 1880 as a two-towered church in the neo-Romanesque style on the site of a predecessor building that had been demolished in 1878. Because of the double tower façade, the church is often called "Siegtal Cathedral". The two lower floors of the north tower come from the old parish church from the 12/13th century, which was probably originally only a chapel, but was expanded into a three-nave church with a length of about 25.60 m and a width of 7.85 m and was already dedicated to St. Lawrence of Rome.
