The Felix Lake is an artificially created lake in the municipality of the same name, west of the town of Döbern in the Spree-Neiße district. It was formed by the flooding of a lignite open-pit mine.
The Felix Lake is located in the Muskau Fold and is situated approximately 12 kilometers east of Spremberg and 15 kilometers south of the A15. From 1850 to 1930, the present lake was a lignite open-pit mine. The name Felix Lake derives from the name of the open-pit mine "Felix".
