Village Church Wulfersdorf

The Protestant village church of Wulfersdorf is a listed sacred building in Wulfersdorf near Wittstock/Dosse. The church was built in the first quarter of the 16th century. It is located at Dorfstraße 57.

The architectural style of the fieldstone church features both medieval and modern elements. The building consists of a church nave that ends straight on the east side and a rectangular west tower with a tower flag. The gable of the tower was built in the second half of the 16th century under the influence of the Renaissance. Originally, the tower likely had a hipped roof, which was later replaced by a gable roof. Windows and doors are framed with bricks. The eastern gable of the church is modeled after that of the Holy Sepulchre chapel. The windows below the eastern gable, the arched closures of the southern choir windows, and the pointed arch of the west portal, however, are still influenced by the Gothic architectural style.
