The Schwatte Gatt is a nature conservation and FFH area near Vreden in the Münsterland district of Borken. It was designated as a nature reserve in 1958 and expanded in 1992 to its current size of about 62 hectares.
The core of the Schwattet Gatt Nature Reserve is a raised bog remnant. This area consists mainly of wet heaths, in which three still waters are embedded. Of these waters, only the largest still has a contiguous, open water surface. It is dammed by a weir on the western edge. The water surface of the water body is almost completely covered with the white water lily. The remaining waters are almost completely silted up.
