In addition to the diverse opportunities to explore the Baumberge region, the Stiftsgemeinde Nottuln with its landmark Longinus Tower on Westerberg is also waiting to be discovered.
After all, the town in the heart of the Baumberge has a lot to offer. Not only is there the historic town center, which was rebuilt in 1748 by Baroque master builder Johann Conrad Schlaun after a devastating fire.
Equally exciting is a visit to North Rhine-Westphalia's oldest blue print workshop, which has been run by the Kentrup family for seven generations. Since early December 2018, the craft of blue printing has been part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
You can either embark on a discovery tour of the town on your own, which can include a visit to the late Gothic hall church of St. Martin – or book one of the town tours conducted by one of our knowledgeable tour guides. Our visitors not only learn a lot of historical information, but also get to hear some interesting anecdotes along the way (town tours on various themes and of different lengths can be booked through Baumberge-Touristik Nottuln at the central municipal administration office).
Afterwards, you have truly earned a coffee or lunch: Our restaurateurs, who also have the typical Münsterland cuisine down pat, are waiting for you and will pamper you with their service.
By the way, you can wonderfully relax during the summer in our well-known wave pool, which, with its 26-degree warm water, sunbathing lawns, beach volleyball court, and splash area for young swimmers, creates a great feeling of spending a day by the sea.
Numerous events such as shooting festivals, cabaret evenings, art exhibitions, concerts, the wine festival in May, or the Martini market in November round off the annual calendar in the Stift village.
