The Ziesar railway station is a former railway station in the town of Ziesar in the west of the Brandenburg state.
It is located east of the city center. All railway connections are discontinued. The main building is used as a residential house. The reception building and several other buildings are designated as a historical monument main station.
In 1896, Ziesar was connected to the German railway network via the narrow-gauge railways of the Jerichow I district. The railway connection led towards the town of Burg near Magdeburg. However, there was a greater economic interest in a connection to the city of Brandenburg an der Havel with a link to Berlin. Corresponding plans for an extension of the narrow-gauge railway were available, and the route was extended westward and northward from the actual narrow-gauge station in the west of the town around the city center. However, the planned further extension of the line to Brandenburg was not realized.
