Digital bike route Gravel bike tour

The route mostly leads over unpaved roads. Especially on the section between Dörentrup and Blomenstein, you will experience beautiful landscape panoramas. The starting and ending point is the Bürgerhaus in Dörentrup. Behind the outdoor pool, you enter the landscape park Pottkuhle. The dirt road now follows the Mühlingsbach around the Röhenberg to the Teufelsberg with a great view.
Below Habichtsberg, the path mainly goes through the forest to Hohensonne. Via a county road, you then head to Sibbentrup and further to Bega. In Bega, we find the riding center as well as the "Schweinerei" of the Ehlerts family. Behind Bega, the path leads us back into the forest and we reach the Osterberg as well as the Luhberg. Behind Hagendonop, we go through field paths to Lütte and Vogelhorst. Shortly before Lemgo, we reach Café Walkenmühle. The route takes us along the outskirts of Lemgo via side streets to the Staff-Landscape Park. From the park, there is a beautiful view over Lemgo. With momentum, we now head back into the forest. The picturesque forest paths lead us past the former Maibolte landfill through the Lemgo city forest back to Dörentrup.

Pottkuhle
The Pottkuhle in the Dörentrup Landscape Park is just under three hectares in size and is a lake. The former clay pit is embedded in trees and is a beautiful recreational area. The water has a rich fish population and is up to nine meters deep. From tench to carp up to 20 kg, eel, pike, zander to catfish, many species can be found.

Hofladen Schweinerei
The farm shop offers delicious pork products, soft ice cream, coffee specialties, regional products, a children's playground, benches to relax, and petting chickens.

Former Dörentrup Landfill
Here you can get a look at the impressive landfill cover made of photovoltaics. Besides the Helsiek landfill near Detmold, it is unique in Germany and produces a lot of electricity.
