The bike path connects the Kyll Cycle Path and Ahr Cycle Path through the valley of the Ahbach. The bike tour takes you through a part of the Eifel that has been shaped by limestone mining since Roman times and has a lot to offer in terms of sights. Highlights of the Eifel bike tour include the European example city of Hillesheim, Kerpen Castle, the Niederehe Monastery, and the "growing" waterfall of Dreimühlen. On forest paths and almost entirely on a former railway track, it overcomes the watershed between the catchment areas of the Ahr and the Moselle without steep climbs. In combination with the Ahr Cycle Path, Moselle Cycle Path, Kyll Cycle Path, and Rhine Cycle Path, smaller and larger circular tours between the Ahr, Rhine, Moselle, and Kyll are possible.
