The route is followed clockwise, and then you will get the following climbs (from Zweifall):
- Gressenich Forest (note: moderate and bumpy road surface in ascent and descent)
- the short, not steep ascent to the Wieghat dam of the Wehebach (dead end)
- Großhau (or: Katzenknipp, or: Rennweg)
- Brandenberg 
- Kevelaerberg. In 2017, this ascent is preceded by a descent on a completely renewed road to the idyllic Simonskall. After the climb with gradients of up to 14%, there is a 7 km descent on a road that was completely renewed in 2018!

We continue around the Hürtgen Forest, a wooded mountain range in the northern Eifel. This region is well connected to tourists, so there are many federal highways that easily bring tourists to the Eifel. This also means crowds on these streets on weekends.
This route bypasses the federal highways as much as possible (with the exception of a distance of 1.5 km and 1 km, this is not possible). However, the state roads that connect villages and federal highways can also be busy on weekends in good weather (many motorcyclists are on the road here).
But fortunately, there are many quiet roads and roads where cars are not allowed to enter. This applies to the Rennweg, the road through the Gressenich Forest, the road from Bogheim to Untermaubach, the road to Schafberg, the road through the settlement of Hürtgen and through Raffelsbrand, the road through the Kalltal (Simonskall) and the various farm roads.

If you want to start with a steep climb (i.e. make a variant of this route), instead of the ascent into the Reslenich Forest in Vicht, you can continue along the main road to the church of Vicht. Turn right and drive to Fackensiefstraße. A climb of 600 meters awaits you with gradients of 20% at the beginning. Descend again in the direction of Fleuth and in Fleuth take the Süssendeller Straße, which climbs to the Gressenich Forest (and then end up back on this route).
